Pitch Coaching

How to communicate your Artistic Value to the Money People.

And get them to take action!

Asking for things is hard. Asking for money is harder.

Bailie Slevin has been coaching theatre professionals on money for over 15 years. It doesn’t matter if you’re a producer, a writer or a director, there may come a time where you need to ask for money in the form of investment, donation or needed budget adjustment. Bailie will work with you to craft your “pitch” and deliver it powerfully.

What is a “pitch”?

It’s essentially a persuasive sales presentation, but each pitch is unique depending on the audience and venue. Having a pitch coach to help edit and personalize each pitch conversation can be invaluable, especially if you’re speaking to someone who gets pitched to a lot. Whether it’s your elevator talk or a full-blown presentation, having an expert in your corner will set you up for success.

Bailie will take you through both the financial and emotional aspects of asking-for-money process. Not only will you be able to clearly and concisely speak to others about the financial opportunities for your work you’ll also gain further insight into your own intentions and motivations for your creation.
